Intimate Northern California Wedding in the Sierra Nevada Mountains

Last June I had the honor of traveling to Tuolumne County, California for Molly and Michael’s intimate wedding. Molly found me and my work while searching through the hashtag #californiaweddingphotographer on Instagram. I had been promoting the Yosemite elopement I shot in California in 2017. Of course, I was over the moon when she reached out to me because California is one of my favorite places in the country. I spent three lovely years living in Trinity County and several more years visiting each fall for work. I feel massively grateful any chance I get to return to California, especially to photograph love!

I was fortunate enough to be able to bring my three-year-old son, Everest, along for this trip as well as my teenage niece to care for him while I worked! We spent a week in California and we all remember it as being such a joyous trip! The highlight was definitely this magical day spent with Molly, Michael, and their friends and family celebrating the beautiful love they share! Nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Twain Harte is a tiny town near Jamestown and Sonora in Tuolumne County. They chose the most magical little grove of redwoods on a tree farm in Twine Harte to hold their wedding. It really couldn’t have been more beautiful.

Molly chose an incredible team of local vendors to help create their wedding day. The owners of the tree farm and the florist felt like family by the end of the day! Such lovely people that I look forward to working with again in the future.
