Linville Gorge Adventure Engagement Session

A warm summer day in mid-August led the three of us up one of my favorite peaks in all of western North Carolina overlooking the Linville Gorge for an adventurous engagement session. This mountaintop truly never disappoints. I’ve seen it in all of the seasons including ice, snow, fog, rain, springtime glory, autumnal foliage, and hot summer days. I love them all.

Engagement sessions are really great because they allow a couple to get comfortable with the photographer as well as becoming acquainted with being in front of the camera. I work with my couples to get them relaxed and into a state of having fun with me. Moments flow naturally and the images I capture appear effortlessly authentic because we are truly all just having a great time.

Rachael and Jon are really fun people. I was lucky enough to photograph their elopement in Pisgah National Forest in late 2018.
