Winter Adventure Session near Asheville, North Carolina| Asheville Winter Adventure Elopement Inspiration | February 2019

Erin and Matt contacted me on a chilly morning in February and asked if I happened to be available that afternoon for a session! Luckily, I happened to be free and I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to meet these two sweethearts! We adventured to a favorite foggy mountaintop and became quick friends, laughed along the way, and thoroughly enjoyed our time together! While their session was not an Asheville winter adventure elopement I think it will certainly provide inspiration to those hoping to have a winter elopement near Asheville!

As an Asheville Elopement Photographer, the winter months tend to be more of an off-season but I love to stay in the swing of things by shooting a couple of elopements and sessions amongst the winter magic. Fog, snow, winter light through the bare trees, chilly temps that up the cuddle, and fewer hikers on the trails due to the cold weather all make for an exciting option for adventure sessions or elopements!

I always suggest my clients make sure they have appropriate footwear for their elopement or adventure session, but this is especially important in the winter when ice, snow, freeze-thaw, or other treacherous trail conditions may be an issue! I also like to suggest my couples bring a thermos of hot coffee or tea to stay warm as well as a blanket to snuggle up in! Hot hands hand warmers, gloves, and layered clothing all help produce an enjoyable experience!
